In a letter dated September 29, the commission stated that members of the Karnataka Rashtra Samithi (KRS) had recently visited the station to seek justice for farmers, but were arrested on false charges.

A few other workers who went to question the arrests were allegedly threatened by the Nelamangala police inspector, who also seized their mobile phones.

"The Madanayakanahalli police inspector grabbed a woman’s mobile phone and dragged her on the public road. This distressful incident has been reported in the media. Immediate action needs to be taken,” the commission wrote in its letter to the Bengaluru district superintendent of police.
