The workers of Page Industries Limited in Bommasandra industrial area were treated to lunch on the New Year's eve after which they took ill. They complained of vomiting and diarrhoea when they came for work this morning, Additional Superintendent of Police (Bangalore) Subhash Gudimane said.
"Over 400 are being treated for suspected food poisoning at the hospital," he said.
Blood and urine samples were being tested to ascertain the cause of the illness.
