A South Western Railway release said that torrential rains had caused landslides near Donigal between Sakaleshpur and Subrmanya Road in Mysore Division.
Meanwhile, according to reports from Haveri in Karnataka, Three members of a family died and two others were injured when their house collapsed following incessant rains in Rane Bennur in the district, police said
The mud house collapsed in Nadigera colony resulting in the death of Sharavva (40), her two daughters Deep (12) and Roopa (10) last night, police said.
The injured have been admitted to a hospital.
Parts of Haveri, including Rane Bennur, are experiencing heavy rains since a fortnight.
The death toll due to rain havoc in parts of Karnataka has touched 23 so far, police said.
