Namasthubhyam’, a music festival for the young by Bharatiya Samagana Sabha, is slated at Chowdiah Memorial Hall on March 27 and 28.
R R Ravishankar, chairman of the sabha, says, “We have been holding the festival for 11 years. This year, the festival, usually held for five days, is down to two.”
On March 27, the first recital features Rahul Vellal (Karnatic vocal) at 6 pm, followed by Nandini Gaikwad (Hindustani vocal) at 7.15 pm.
On March 28, Uthara Unnikrishnan sings bhakti music (Karnatic) at 6 pm. A recital by Spoorthi Rao (Karnatic vocal) follows at 7.15 pm.
