Sandeep, 19, drowned in a lake in Amruthalli on Tuesday.A resident of Tin Factory area and PU student at a private college, he and his three friends had gone to Srirampura lake for a swim.
The victim, who did not know swimming, got into the water and drowned. His friends tried to seek help, but to no avail. Passersby, on hearing their cries for help, were told that their friend had drowned, and they informed the police and fire personnel. Amruthalli police have registered a case.
