Revenue and District in-charge Minister V Srinivas Prasad, on Wednesday, said, Deputy Commissioner C Shikha will decide on issuing compensation amount to the next of the kin of the dead and injured persons in the mishap between a maxi-cab and goods tempo that occurred near Bherya, K R Nagar taluk in the district, on Tuesday.

Prasad, who enquired the condition of the injured persons undergoing treatment at K R Hospital here, told media persons, the deputy commissioner will take a decision, based on the medical reports.

“Those who have been rendered physically challenged due to the mishap will also be provided adequate relief amount”, the minister said, stopping short of making an announcement, owing to the model code of conduct in force, in view of the Grama Panchayat elections scheduled for May 29.

The minister promised that all the injured persons will be treated at K R Hospital as it has all facilities and good team of doctors. Soon after the injured persons were brought to the hospital, the doctors attended to them till late hours.
