A youth from Kodagu has travelled on his bike for 13 days covering Himalayan mountain ranges.

He also visited Khardung La situated 18,380 feet above the sea level.

The expedition by Kandangala A Yashwanth Kalappa was sponsored by Triump Motor Cycles Company. A total of 13 bikers from across the country were part of the expedition.

He travelled on M-12 Triump Tiger Bike. He had purchased the bike in February. The bike was modified to keep medical kit, clothes and extra oil. He travelled for 8 to 13 hours a day during the expedition.

A few who were part of the expedition returned after reaching Chithkul. However, Kalappa has travelled to the last village of India.

He has also visited Kargil and Srinagar.
