Former chief minister D V Sadananda Gowda along with his family members visited Bhagamandala and Talacauvery and offered a special pooja to invoke the Rain god to shower his blessing.
He took part in the homa and havana at Triveni Sangama.
Later, speaking to mediapersons, he said that the State government has taken up pro-people programmes in the last four and half years.
The BJP government will complete its term in the State. The state government has chalked out various programmes for the welfare of the people and has been giving a good administration.
“Change in the Chief Ministers had not affected the development work in Karnataka,” he said.
Dati Sadananda Gowda, his son Karthik, Zilla Panchayat president B Shivappa, Talacauvery temple committee president Manu Muthappa and others were present.
