Addressing a press conference in Bangalore, Leader of the Opposition in the Legislative Council V S Ugrappa blamed CM B S Yeddyurappa for making a series of false promises.
He said that while the government had promised free sites to the poor, it had demolished several houses belonging to the poor at Jaraganahalli in Uttarahalli on Tuesday. The government had gone ahead with the demolition drive despite court orders upholding the right of the dwellers, Ugrappa claimed.
