Narasimhaswamy, a two-time legislator from Doddaballapur and son of former Union Minister R L Jalappa, on Friday had said he would put in his papers after meeting the chief minister.

“The CM told me not to take any hasty steps. He said all issues would be resolved. He said my name would be considered from the backward classes quota during the next reshuffle,” Narasimhaswamy told Deccan Herald.

He said the CM also told him not to be worked up with family issues as it was common in politics.

Speaking to reporters in Doddaballapur on Friday, Narasimhaswamy had said he was upset by the politics within his family and he had no interest to continue in public life.

“The Chief Minister also assured that adequate grants would be released for developmental works for my constituency,” Narasimhaswamy said.
