State BJP president K S Eshwarappa on Tuesday said the party had decided to give tickets to Legislative Council Chairman D H Shankaramurthy (Karnataka South West Graduates constituency), Ramachandra Gowda (Bangalore Graduates' constituency) and Ganesh Karnik (South West Teachers constituency) - all sitting members of the Upper House.
The party had decided to give the Karnataka South Teachers’ constituency ticket to S M Gurunanjaiah, who contested unsuccessfully from the same constituency in 2006. Y A Narayanaswamy who had won as an independent from the Karnataka South-East Teachers' constituency in 2006 will be contesting on a BJP ticket next year.
Eshwarappa said Amarnath Patil has been given the party ticket to contest from Karnataka North East Graduates constituency.
“The list has been sent to the party parliamentary board for ratification,” Eshwarappa
said.
