Speaking at a media conference here on Tuesday, he said that BJP had given ` 69 lakh including a ` 12 lakh deposit for taking 2,000 party workers to Jammu as part of the ‘Ekta Yatra’.
But, the railway authorities failed to do so, he added. He said that later a 21-member team went to Jammu on a private aeroplane. However, the police arrested them at the Katra Cross. But another six-member team from the State managed to reach Jammu.
Complications
Devanuru said that National Yuva Morcha Vice President Brighu Bhakshapatha was bitten by Jammu Police and had to be given eight injections to protect him from further complications arising out of this incident.
