This is the first time he is visiting the town after assuming charge as district in-charge minister. He began  his visit  by offering puja at the Anjaneyaswamy temple in Kondarajanahalli in the outskirts of the town.

Later, addressing the media he said, “In the light of the gram panchayat elections, I have come to participate in the campaign. After the polls I  will visit the district again taking up the responsibility as the district in-charge minister.”
He said he was aware of the problems in the district like water problem and the district remaining educationally backward.
“In this direction a blueprint will be prepared and all efforts will be made to implement it,” he said.

“I will get first hand information about the problems facing the district. I will hold meetings with the officials after the election is over. However, the date has not been fixed yet,” he said.
“All the party leaders in the district are united. It is only due to their intervention that I have come to the district. Constructive suggestions will be accepted and efforts will be made to solve the crisis if any in the party,” he said.
Halappa has resigned. We have to wait till the investigations are completed. According to the information we have, he is innocent. There is a conspiracy by the people in the party only, he said.

MLC D S Veeraiah, Dr Shivayogiswamy, party district unit president S N Sriram, Pramila Sriram, Jagadeeshwarachari, Sukanya, Saroja, Pramila, Jayashanker, Lakshman, Jayanthilal, Appi, Balaji, D R Nagaraj, Ratnamma, Kempanna, Venkateshamourya, Rangappa, Rajeshwar, Shashikala and Chalapathy were present.
Later Limbavali hit the campaign trail visiting Parshvaganahalli, Honnehalli, Doddahasala, Hudukula, Boodikote and other villages.
