B'luru city police commissioner Alok Kumar transferred

Bengaluru City Police Commissioner and Additional Director General of Police Alok Kumar on Friday was transferred with immediate effect.

Bhaskar Rao, IPS (KN:1990), serving as the Additional Director General of Police, Karnataka State Reserve Police, Bengaluru will be replacing Kumar.

Kumar, IPS (KN:1994), will be posted as Additional Director General of Police, Karnataka State Reserve Police, Bengaluru.

As part of the reshuffle, the government of Karnataka also transferred IPS officers Umesh Kumar (Additional Commissioner of Police, West, Bengaluru City), Hemant N Nimbalkar (Inspector General of Bengaluru Police - CID, economic offences wing and cybercrime) , BR Ravikanthe Gowda (Deputy Inspector General Police - Crime, Bengaluru City), R.Chethan (Davanagere Superintendent of Police) , D Devaraja (Deputy Commissioner of Police, Central Division, Bengaluru City) and M Ashwini (Shivamogga Superintendent of Police), according to ANI.
