Speaking on the occasion, Manipal University former Vice Chancellor Prof B M Hegde said herbal medicines are holistic and all types of medicines are the by product of nature and human beings have no role to play.
He said every new born child is a genius only to be converted into an idiot in school. The teachings in schools are limited to prepare students to write exams. Education in life is through thinking and education should be for acquiring knowledge.
The volume “Suruli” by Dr Suma Bhat was released on the occasion. Centre for Traditional Medicine and Research, Chennai Director Dr S Usman Ali delivered the talk on “Traditional Medicine”.
