Members of political parties, pro-Kannada organisations, trade unions, staged a protest at Sangolli Rayanna Circle on Friday, condemning the evacuation of Kannadigas at Baina beach in Goa.
“The Goa government has violated human rights, as it evacuated Kannadigas without arranging rehabilitation for them. State government should assign a minister to arrange rehabilitation for displaced Kannadigas in Goa, while BJP leaders should seek prime minister’s intervention to find out a permanent solution for the problems of Kannadigas in Goa are being exploited there,” protesters said.
