He said the varsity has established a satellite centre in Chamarajanagar-a backward district socially and economically, in the interest of rural students. Three courses-MBA, MSW and MCJ were being offered.

In fact, the varsity had sought permission to offer six courses. While there is good response for MBA and MSW courses, there were only three applications for MCJ because of which that course has been shelved.

In it’s place, M Com course is being offered in tune with the demand of local students.
On the Choice Based Credit System (CBCS) being introduced from current academic year, Prof Talawar said one teacher from each department is being appointed as faculty to address all the confusion regarding the new system, the VC said.
