The car used by the suspects in the Deepak Rao murder case on January 3 at Katipalla in Surathkal, reportedly belongs to a woman from Mukka.
The investigating team has now decided to conduct an enquiry into it.
The suspects, Pinki Nawaz and his assoiates, reportedly used the said car which has a white board, for committing the crime.
According to a preliminary investigation, the owner of the said car had been renting out the vehicle on a daily basis.
The team is probing into who contacted the owner of the car for hiring the vehicle and whether she was aware of the conspiracy.
