Five members of a family were killed and three injured when an SUV rammed the car they were travelling by, at Nandihalli near here on Sunday night.
The dead Dharmaraj, 50, Basavaraj, 40, Leelavathi, 28, Nagaraj, 45 and Maheshwarappa, 30, were residents of Holalkere taluk in Chitradurga district. They were returning from Bangalore where they had been to seek a marriage alliance for Leelavathi.
