Congress leader in the Lok Sabha Mallikarjuna Kharge attacked the BJP-led NDA government at the Centre on Wednesday, saying it had completely gone inactive, alluding to the cash crunch in some parts of the country.

He was speaking to reporters in the city. "Finance Minister Arun Jaitley says there is more supply of currency than required. But where are all those notes going?" he said.

Kharge said people were put to hardships as the ATMs had gone dry. He said BJP president Amit Shah's 'magic' would not work in Karnataka and claimed that his party would win more seats than last time and retain power.
