Cattle rescued, shifted to Pinjrapole

Following a tip off police rescued 13 cattle being smuggled to the slaughter houses in Kerala. The cattle were later shifted to Piinjrapole Society in Mysore.

Six cows, three bulls and four buffaloes were being illegally transported in a goods vehicle, when the police intercepted the same. The driver too to heels after abandoning the vehicle.
A case has been registered.

Liquor seized

Police have seized nine cases of liquor which was being smuggled near Taraka bridge at the handpost in the Taluk. Shivalinga and Chandra, residents of Kadegadde village of the taluk have been arrested and remanded in judicial custody.
