The third edition of the Chikaballapur Udyoga Mela (job fair), an initiative taken up by Union Petroleum Minister Veerappa Moily, in association with the State government and the local administration, will be held on August 3 and 4.
Addressing a press conference in Bangalore on Friday, Chikkaballapur MP, Moily said as many as 250 companies spanning across various sectors including IT/ITeS, manufacturing, automobiles, healthcare are expected to participate in the job fair. The job fair will be held at the SJC Institute of Technology, Chikaballapur and candidates from any part of the State or country can participate.
This year, provision has been made for online registration of candidates to provide the participating companies, the profile of the aspirants beforehand. Registration is free of cost and can be done at www.udyogamela.com, Moily said. Training and orientation especially to face interviews at the job fair will be provided to all aspirants on July 27 and 28 in all the taluk headquarters of Chikkaballapur and Bangalore rural districts, the minister said.
The online registration will help in segregating the job aspirants as per the company’s specific requirements.
