A team of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) officials on Friday raided the office of the port at Belekeri in Anokala taluk in connection with ‘missing iron ore’ case.
DIG Hitendrakumar and his team is learnt to have verified documents and collected crucial information. Later, the nine-member team raided offices of Mallikarjuna Shipping, Salagaonkar Mining Industries and Adani Enterprises at Belekeri and interrogated R V Nayak, the senior manager of Mallikarjuna Shipping company, sources said.
The investigating officers later gathered information from the Judicial Magistrate First Class court at Ankola, on the hearing of the cases of ‘ore theft’ against the companies filed by the Criminal Investigation Department, the sources added.
