Members of Karnataka Rajya Nayaka Yuva Sene (KRNYS) and Congress staged separate protests in connection with the obscene CD, in which Ramesh Jarkiholi is allegedly involved.

While KRNYS members protested against Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president D K Shivakumar, Congress workers protested against Jarkiholi for abusing Shivakumar.

KRNYS members staged a protest near the office of the deputy commissioner and demanded Shivakumar’s resignation. "Shivakumar is oppressing Jarkiholi politically, behind the shield of a woman, who is involved in the CD case. The parents of the woman have accused Shivakumar of involving in the case. Shivakumar has no moral right to lead Karnataka Congress. Thus, he should resign," the agitators said and demanded the police to arrest Shivakumar.

“We have lost confidence on the Special Investigation Team, which is investigating the case. Even though an FIR is filed against Jarkholi, no action is taken," the party workers said and demanded immediate arrest of Jarkiholi for his derogatory remarks against Shivakumar.

Congress rural president B J Vijaykumar alleged that Jarkiholi is making a conspiracy against Shivakumar and he should be arrested immediately.
