Three months’ ago CEO Puttaraju was transferred to Kunigal as revenue officer. Last month Eera Naik was appointed in his place. However Puttaraju was once again transferred to Madhugiri as CEO and on Jan 12 he took charge from Eera Naik.
Meanwhile Eera Naik had challenged the appointment of Puttaraju at KAT as he is not a KMAS rank officer and procured a stay order. On Jan 15 he arrived at the office along with the stay order and while officer on duty Puttaraju had gone on lunch break, sat in his chair and conducted the office.
On Saturday Puttaraju went on leave on personal work and Eera Naik had gone to the deputy commissioner’s office with the stay order, hence both were on leave, said the staff.
