Addressing the 29th state convention of the ABVP here, he said the Chief Minister has agreed with the point.
Only 12 per cent students who complete primary education are able to get entry into high schools. The students who get higher education should think towards the welfare of the society, he appealed.
“India should be elevated to the position when it was a guiding force to the whole world. Youth should come forward for the overall development of the society instead of thinking only about politics or IT-BT,” the minister said.
“Though the country has got Independence, there is no independence for our thoughts. We are not getting an education that instills nationalistic feelings. We need an education that gives importance to individual personality,” he observed.
Legal Commission Chairman and retired Chief Justice V S Malimath, Western Ghats Task Force member Elianna Malekudiya, ABVP leaders Srinivas Balli, Vinay Bidare, Raghu Akmanje were present.
