A complaint has been filed against Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, Law Minister T B Jayachandra, Co-operation Minister H S Mahadeva Prasad, Congress MLA from Narasimharaja constituency Tanveer Sait and Congress Chief Whip Ashok M Pattana for their allegations against Upalokayukta.

The complaint has been filed with the Lokayukta requesting to invoke Section 17 of the Lokayukta Act, which reads “The Lokayukta or Upalokayukta have same jurisdiction powers and authority in respect of contempt and may exercise the provisions of the Contempt of Courts Act, 1971.”

The complaint has been filed by one Ramamurthy Gowda of Bengaluru. He stated that the chief minister and his party MLAs have criticised the orders passed by Upalokayukta Justice Subhash B Adi saying there were allegations of corruption against Justice Adi.

Some other MLAs and leaders have also given statements saying Justice Adi has violated rules and passed orders to favour certain people. All these statements were made without any evidence or documents. Hence, these statements amount to contempt,'' he said.
