Speaking to presspersons after offering thulabhara at Subrahmanya temple on Sunday, he said polling in Arunachala Pradesh was 72 per cent, which clearly shows the belief of the people in democracy.

To a query on objection raised by China on testing missiles, he said “India is a sovereign country. It is our duty to protect it from external forces. In this background, our military is fully prepared to protect when the need arises.”  The Centre has already released Rs 1,000 crore towards flood relief in North Karnataka. A delegation led by Karnataka Chief Minister will meet PM and Finance Minister on Tuesday and submit a report on the loss.

Later, a Central team will visit the State to asses the damage. Based on it, the Centre will release the amount. To a query on violation of Indian airspace by the American chartered aircraft with 205 passengers, including US marines on board, Krishna said “there are some measures to maintain the entry of foreign aircraft in Indian airspace. Depending on it, we will initiate action.”  S M Krishna and his family members offered saree, coconut and other fruits to Hosagoligamma goddess at Subrahmanya.
