He was speaking at the Shravana Sambhrama and book release programme organised by the Parishat at the Kolar Rotary Club on Sunday.

The Parishat has grown its own community in the State in the last 24 years. Simple, natural terms are used in these poems to present the myriad experiences in life lightly before the reader and take him to a different world, he said. Katti added the numbers of short poem writers as well as readers in the State have increased over the years and this is reflects the efforts put in by the Parishat.

‘Swati Muttu’, a short poem collection by Anuradha Aravind Katti, ‘Balabelaku-Balasangathi’, a collection of articles by M Anandareddy Attur of Bangalore, ‘Hani Hani Minchu, Bidi Hoogalu’, a poem and short poem collection by M R Nagarajarao of Gauribidanur, ‘Sankirna’, a poem and short poem collection by J S Divan of Kolar, ‘Antarala’, a poem and short poem collection by V Hemachari, ‘Ooradyavara Madabekanna’, a poem and article collection by Dr M J Mouni were released during the programme.

Vinisha and Vitasha Ria, editors of the monthly magazine Mandanila inaugurated the short poem recitation programme in the afternoon.
