The Criminal Investigation Department (CID), which is investigating the mysterious death of Nanditha, is said to be awaiting a detailed postmortem analysis report to take the probe forward. The CID has received a report from Forensic Science Laboratory in Bengaluru, which has submitted the toxicology report confirming that rat poison samples were found in the viscera of the girl.

“The FSL report is part of the detailed postmortem analysis. The initial autopsy report had stated that heart attack had caused the death. Now, the experts will prepare a final report on the cause of death in view of the FSL report,'' a source said. The CID officials have now forwarded the FSL report to the Forensic Medicine Department at Kasturba Medical College (KMC) in Manipal, where the autopsy was done. Sources said that the Forensic Medicine Department of the KMC will submit a detailed postmortem analysis after going through the FSL report.
