Directors of the ad film Islahuddin and Ajay Singh received the award on behalf of the team from noted director and ad film maker Guru R Balki. The award carries `2 lakh cash prize. The ad film, “Relief fund” was made for Hindustan Times Newspaper, also ended up being the judges’ choice as overall winner, beating competition from film makers from United Kingdom and Europe.
The ad film makes a statement on the politics of relief money and the channels through which it has to pass and puts forth corruption prevalent in our system, a release said.
