A student died after he accidentally fell from a moving school bus at Patladka on Ishwaramangala-Patte road in Puttur in the district on Saturday.
The student has been identified as Gagan Alva, a 10th standard student of Gajanana English Medium High School.
The accident took place when the door of the bus accidentally opened and Gagan, who was standing near the door of the bus, lost balance and fell from the moving bus.
Gagan was declared dead on arrival at the hospital.
