CM to distribute sarees to mothers of 'Bhagyalakshmis' on November 15

Free health check up camp will be held between 10.30 am and 1 pm and sarees will be distributed at 3.30 pm. The CM will also lay foundation stone for the development work. The programme will be held at Field Marshal K M Cariappa College hall. Mothers of as many as  6,889 Bhagyalakshmi beneficiaries will be benefited from the programme.

A preparatory meeting was held under the presidentship of Deputy Commissioner K H Ashwathanarayana Gowda. He directed the PWD officials to make arrangements for the stage settings. The responsibility of carrying out health check up camps were entrusted on the District Surgeon and District Health Officer.

A committee was constituted to conduct exhibition on the health and education programmes of the state government. Taluk-level, primary health centre doctors will be deputed at the health check-ups.

It has been decided to distribute saree to all the beneficiaries who have received the Bhagyalakshmi bond as well as to those who did not receive the bond.

Sub committees were also constituted to get the beneficiaries to Madikeri from rural villages.
