A girl selling flowers by the roadside had an unexpected chance of speaking to Chief Minister H D Kumaraswamy, near Belagola in Srirangapatna taluk, Mandya district, on Wednesday.
The chief minister, who had held a high-power committee meeting in connection with Dasara festivities in Mysuru on Tuesday, had stayed overnight at KRS in Mandya district. On Wednesday, he was leaving for Ramanagar when he saw Shaban Taj selling flowers on the Mysuru-KRS Road. He directed his driver to stop the car and spoke to the girl. After buying flowers,he said, “You come to Bengaluru with your father and meet me”. He promised to help her continue her education.
