Chief Minister Siddaramaiah assured the students of setting up Indira Canteen on the Maharani's college premises.

He was interacting with the students during the inaugural ceremony of the newly constructed Maharani's Commerce and Management College for Women at Paduvarahalli here when a student Spoorthy requested the CM to provide canteen facility. To this, the CM assured of constructing two Indira Canteens, one at a new college and the other at existing college premises.

When a student K B Pallavi told him that though Maharani's Arts and Science College, is century-old, it has no proper hall to conduct programmes, Siddaramaiah said, Maharani's Centenary Hall will be constructed on the college premises. The foundation stone for the hall will be laid in February during centenary celebration of the college, and he will attend the programme.

Pavithra, a B.Com student asked the CM about his secret of remembering Kannada grammar he studied during his school days. Siddaramaiah said it all depends on memory power, interest and the teachers play an important role. "My memory power is good and thus, I remember the grammar," he said.
