JD(S) leader H D Kumaraswamy on Wednesday accused Chief Minister Siddaramaiah of trying to influence the postmortem report of D K Ravi.
Speaking to reporters, he sought to know the motive behind the chief minister visiting Victoria Hospital where the postmortem was conducted on Tuesday. “Why did he go to the hospital? It appears he was trying to influence the postmortem report,” he said.
The chief minister’s behaviour has led to suspicion that the government has been trying to hush up the issue, he said.
Later speaking in the Assembly, Kumaraswamy said the Opposition parties were not blaming the government for the death of the officer. It was not proper to politicise the issue. Even members of the officer’s family have been demanding a CBI probe, he said.
