Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Thursday said that he would discuss with state’s counsel Fali S Nariman about the letter sent to  Mahadayi Water Disputes Tribunal.

The chief minister told reporters at the Lalitha Mahal helipad here that he was not aware of the Tribunal expressing displeasure over the letter sent to it seeking the early hearing of the water-sharing dispute.

The chief minister said that as the matter is pending before the Tribunal, he would speak about it only after discussing with Nariman. He said, “I am not aware of Nariman’s apology to the tribunal.”

The Tribunal, headed by Justice J M Panchal and members Vinay Mittal and P S Narayana, had expressed its displeasure over the letter seeking it to expedite the hearing on its plea seeking its share of Mahadayi water.
