CM warns absentee ministers
DHNS
Last Updated IST

The caution comes in the wake of his detractors including the Opposition and some BJP MLAs complaining that the ministers are inaccessible. Soon after the legislature was adjourned sine die, Yeddyurappa chaired a meeting of his Cabinet at his home office. The ministers have also been asked to make themselves available to the public at least twice a week at the district headquarters, apart from reviewing the functioning of their departments regularly.

Having drawn criticisms from none other than L K Advani, who in Chennai had recently expressed his displeasure over the leadership in Karnataka, Yeddyurappa convened this meeting to also drive forth to the high command that Adavni's remarks were taken seriously by him.
