A total of 6,746 boys and 7,308 girls appeared for the examination. A toal 4,753 boys and 5,425 girls passed the examination. Sringeri block bagged first place in the district with a result of 82.01 per cent. With 56.32 per cent Birur bagged the last place in the district.

As many as 36 schools have scored 100 per cent marks in the examination of which 10 are Government schools, 5 aided schools and 21 private schools. Birur block Jiganihalli High School, Chikmagalur Thalihalla Government High School, Sangameshwarapet Poorna Prajna High School, Kadabagere Jyotivikas High School, St Mary’s and Cambridge School Chikmagalur, Somanahalli Government High School, Gurukripa High School, Kalkere Prabhu Kumar High School, Vishwabharathi, Jnanabharathi, MSR, Deeksha English Medium School, Nethaji High School, Kamanakere Morarji High School and Kuppalu Morarji Desai High School, Koppa Bappunji Government High School, Siddamath High School, Basrikatte Sadguru High School, Koppa Sharada Vidyamandir, Saraswathi Vidya Mandir, Hariharapura Sachidananda High School, Jayapura High School, Prabhodini High School, NR Pura Jeevana Jyoti High School, Sringeri Jaycees High School, Tarikere Sokke High School, Shivani Kalleshwara High School, Ajjampura Subramanya High School, Bhavikere Morarji Desai High School, Shivani Government High School, Hirekanavangala Rudreshwara High School, Shivani Gangodaya High School and Lakkavalli M S I High School have bagged 100 per cent result in Chikmagalur district this year.
