Bengaluru: The Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka (COMEDK) will conduct its entrance exam for the 2026-27 academic year on May 9 (Saturday).
Students appearing for COMEDK-UGET, as the test is called, can seek admission to various engineering courses in more than 150 private unaided colleges across the state. Students from across the country can appear for the test, which is slated to be conducted in 400 centres across 200 cities.
According to COMEDK’s estimates, around 1.4 lakh students are expected to appear for the test this year. The application window for the test opens on February 3 and students will have time till March 16 to submit their applications.
Bearing the interests of non-Karnataka students in mind, COMEDK has decided that it will stick to its counselling schedule even if the Karnataka Examinations Authority (KEA) delays the process on its part.
