Sandhya B Madinuru, a member of the Karnataka State Bar Council, has accused district incharge Minister Shivaraj Tangadagi of misbehaving with her.

She has filed a complaint in this regard at the city police station here on Monday. Sandhya said in her complaint that the agitation committee for a dust-free Koppal had on Sunday held a protest demanding that the city should be made free of dust. They had blocked the road near Bannikatti as part of the protest.

As part of the protest, the committee and other organisations had besieged the minister. This had led to a verbal duel with the minister. In the melee, the minister Sandhya by her hand, pushed her around and misbehaved with her, the complaint says.  She said that the minister directed the police to lathi charge the protestors and left the place. The advocate has sought suitable action against the minister over his ‘highhandedness’. The district advocates’ association has passed a resolution against the minister and has decided to boycott proceedings. Police have filed cases against 42 agitators.
