Complaint dismissed for want of receipt

Sadananda A Bhandari had filed a case against a doctor of the Veterinary Hospital at Herohalli, Vishwaneedam Post, claiming that his two dogs died under the veterinary's treatment. The Forum, however, dismissed the complaint since the customer was unable to produce a receipt.

Sofas not delivered

A sofa seller, who failed to deliver the goods after receiving advance sale price, has been directed to refund the money together with compensation of Rs 4,000.

Supriya had ordered sofa sets from Sinha's Sofa Studio during the Furniture Expo held at the Palace Grounds. She paid Rs 12,000 as advance but did not receive the goods even after repeated calls. Even a legal notice to the shop was not acted upon.The Forum found the seller guilty of  negligence and directed refund of the advance with compensation.

In another case, Daniel had paid Rs 2.25 lakh to High Land Farms & Plantations Cisons Complex and joined their scheme called Mangium Gold Land Certificiate. He was given a registered sale deed for one acre of land but was unable to identify it. The Forum ordered to the firm to refund the money.
