RGUHS Registrar Dr Vasanth Kumar said, “Counselling was postponed by a day following confusion in the ranking order and the number of seats.” He said, necessary changes were made and after a meeting it was decided to postpone the counselling to Wednesday.

The University wanted to ensure justice to the candidates of reserved categories, he added. The Health Department director, Directorate of Medical Education director and the PG Seat Selection Committee members were present on the first day of counselling.

The correct list of candidates has been handed over to the registrar by the committees. The direction of the High Court not to issue the allotment order to the in-service candidates during the first round of counselling came in handy for the varsity to defer the seat selection for dental courses by a day.

General merit category

The counselling for medical courses in the general merit category has been scheduled to be held on Tuesday. The cut off ranks in the categories, the details of the seats and courses available in the medical colleges have been updated in www.rguhs.ac.in.
