Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) president G Parameshwara on Monday said the BJP and other parties’ claims of fractured mandate are only hypothetical.
He said the Congress would emerge as the single largest party in the fray and has every chance of forming the government.
Parameshwara said there was no scope for fractured mandate as people in the State were desperate for a change.

KPCC chief said he was also one of the aspirants for the post of chief minister and accepted that there were many contenders.
When asked whether he was confident of meeting the parameters for a chief minister set by the high command, Parameshwara said that for every Assembly tenure the parameters change.
“This time the challenge for the new chief minister will be to give good governance and stable administration. If the party high command believes that I can meet the new parameters, I am in. However, let’s wait till the verdict is out,” he added.
