Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that he was disheartened by the fate of the farmers, the fishermen, and the youth of Karnataka.

Their condition had compelled him to repeatedly visit Karnataka and publicise BJP's government programmes, he added.

Speaking at an election rally, held at Maravanthe on Tuesday, the UP chief minister challenged Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to compare the development projects launched in Uttar Pradesh (in just one year) to those in Karnataka, in five years of Congress rule.

He remarked that the Congress government had utterly failed to develop the state in the last five years.
