Unveiling a ‘Killer Congress Government’ poster in Bengaluru, Shobha said, “More than 1,800 atrocities against women have been reported in the state in the past two years. Those in the government are caught up in power struggles or busy minting money.”

Dubbing Home Minister G Parameshwara a ‘weak’ minister, Shobha called on Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to ensure the safety of women and children in the state. “The Home Minister has no control over the police. As a representative of all women in the state, I want to ask the CM if he will shoulder the responsibility of securing women’s safety,” said the Union Minister.
