DAR constable Subhash Mugalakhod and BJP leaders Ashok Lagaloti, Siddalinga Abalakatti and Maruti Mirajkar, who runs a courier business, on Wednesday, filed an application for anticipatory bail at the district and sessions court here, in the former minister H Y Meti sex CD case.
The court has directed the Navanagar police to file objections, if any, to the plea. Police sources said the CID will file the objections as the case has been handed over to it.
The police had filed an FIR after the woman in the video registered a case against the four, that they had forced her to give a statement against the former minister and recorded it. CID officials, on Wednesday, continued their investigation into the episode.
A team led by Deputy Superintendent of Police C R Ravishankar examined the account of Mugalakhod at a nationalised bank at Navanagar in the city and gathered relevant documents.
They also met Meti and collected information.
