Bengaluru: Renewing his attack on AICC president Mallikarjun Kharge’s family, BJP’s Rajya Sabha MP Lahar Singh Siroya said on Sunday that Kharge’s son (Priyank Kharge) was “getting into one trouble after the other.”

Taking to X, Siroya referred to the death of a contractor in Bidar who had named one of Priyank’s aides in his suicide note.

The MP also referred to the development where the Siddhartha Vihara Trust with links to the Kharge family had returned five acres of land to the KIADB in Bengaluru. “Thanks to the leadership tussle in Karnataka Congress, the flow of information is good. Nobody is loyal to anybody in the state Congress but only to themselves and their chair,” he added.

Taking a dig at Kharge, Siroya hoped that “saving the Constitution” would not be about “saving himself and his family.”

Sachin Panchal, 26, who had bagged a contract under the Rural Development and Panchayat Raj Department headed by Priyank, allegedly died by suicide in Bidar. After the suicide, Priyank had said he had no role in it and that he was ready to face probe on the issue.
