Court acquits three facing murder charges

The First Additional District and Sessions Court has acquitted three persons, who were facing the charges of murder.

The court has acquitted Imran, Siddiq and Abdulla, who were facing the charges of murder of a scrap dealer Abdul Rashid.

Other suspects Abdul Rashid’s wife Nasima and Mohammed Ali are absconding.

Another suspect Salim has died.

The prosecution has failed to prove the charges against the arrested, said the judge.

It is learnt that Abdul Rashid and his wife Nasima did not have cordial relation.

Nasima had accused her husband of mentally and physically harassing her and was demanding Talaq. Nasima reportedly had an affair with one Imran of Udupi and had paid a supari of Rs 50,000 to murder her husband.

The police who probed the case had filed a charge sheet against Mohammed Ali, Salim, Abdulla, Siddiq and Imran.

As many as 36 witnesses had deposed before the court. Having failed to prove the charges, the court acquitted the trio.
