District Fast Track Court has convicted Napanda S Kushalappa with six months imprisonment and a penalty of Rs 900 in connection to the murder case of Napanda Utthappa of Garvale village on February 20, 2006.
Fast Track Court Judge M V Jadar, in his judgement on Thursday, also convicted another culprit Napanda Sharada with two years imprisonment and Rs 500 penalty for causing hurt marks on Napanda Utthappa during his death. He has also been imposed with the imprisonment of four months and Rs 300 for using deadly weapons during the murder.
Other accused in the case, including Odiyanda Ashoka, Odiyanda Aruna, Thumbukutthira Kushalappa were sentenced to 15 days imprisonment and a penalty of Rs 500.
